The SANTEC Project Rules explain how to propose SANTEC projects

2.  Proposal and selection process

2.1     The project leader will provide the SANTEC Project Concept Proposal without the names of other participants to the Secretariat using the template provided and attaching the two page SANTEC Research Résumé

2.2     The Secretariat will circulate the SANTEC Project Concept Proposal with the SANTEC Research Résumé to all members within one working day of receiving it, with a deadline of two weeks for members to indicate their interest.

2.3    The project leader in conjunction with the Secretariat will select the participants within 5 working days from the deadline. If consensus cannot be reached, the Quality Assurance Sub-Committee will make this decision.

2.4    The project leader then submits the SANTEC Project Concept Proposal with the names of other participants and their two page SANTEC Research Résumés via the Secretariat to the Quality Assurance Sub-Committee for consideration.

2.5    The Secretariat will inform the project leader of the outcome of the proposal within 5 working days from date of receipt.

2.6    If accepted, the Secretariat will provide the Quality Assurance Sub-Committee’s feedback to the project leader and request a full SANTEC Project Funding Proposal (which will normally be an expansion on the SANTEC Project Concept Proposal).

NOTE: The pro-forma of the funding body/bodies is to be used in the event that the external funding body/bodies prescribe the format of the funding proposal. Changes may also be made to the SANTEC Project Funding Proposal to make it more appropriate for different funding bodies.

2.7    The project leader then submits the SANTEC Project Funding Proposal via the Secretariat to the Management Committee for consideration.

2.8    The Secretariat will inform the project leader of the outcome of the proposal within 5 working days from date of receipt.

2.9    If accepted, the Secretariat will forward the SANTEC Project Funding Proposal with a covering letter, abstract of the Minutes of the Management Board Meeting and the SANTEC Constitution to the relevant external funding bodies.
