There are no membership fees. In stead of charging membership fees, a small percentage (between 2-5%) of the gross income of SANTEC projects are used instead.
Once your membership has been confirmed by the Secretariat, you will receive a userid and password by email giving you access to the SANTEC online discussion boards - which also functions as the SANTEC discussion lists - as well as to any other restricted areas of this website.

Who Can Join?
We invite individuals and organisations who are interested in educational technology and eLearning in developing environments - with an initial focus on the Southern African region, to join.
Members can thus be from anywhere in the world.
There are four types of membership: Ordinary, Organisational, Student members and External membership for members residing outside the SADC region (currently 14 countries listed on the SADC website).
All members are eligible to participate in SANTEC projects. External members may not lead SANTEC projects, but can propose and participate in projects. See the SANTEC Project Rules.
